Visiting Jacksonville NC, and have no clue what to do?
Stop by Sam's Ranch in Hubert NC, and have some photos taken! It's an old ranch that's now owned by the city, and a photographer hotspot. It's got this beautiful western charm to it. In May, there's yellow and white wildflowers that bloom everywhere and make this location so stunning to stop by and have a little picnic. It's also ICONIC at sunrise. When I first started my photo journey, this was one of the first places I ever photographed at. It will forever have a piece of my heart. Jacksonville also sits on the coast, so the next best thing to do is obviously going to the beach!! Lucky for you, there are many beaches within 30 minutes to an hour and a half out from Jacksonville, and I promise they are WORTH THE DRIVE! If you're visiting family that's stationed on Camp Lejeune, you can visit Onslow Beach. It's not as saturated as the other beaches off base, which makes it quiet and quaint. You also have North Topsail Beach, which is about a 30 minute drive from Jacksonville. This is a cute little beach town, and while you're there, you have to visit Beach Bum's Pizza Bar & Grill! The food is incredible, and the vibes are immaculate! The other beach I would highly recommend is definitely Wrightsville Beach. It's located in Wilmington, NC. You could start out the morning on the beach, and then head over to Airlie Gardens. This place is HUGE, and absolutely so beautifully put together. My kiddos love roaming around the gardens, and during Christmas time this place is so magical!
